Idle & multiplayer, free · in your browser

Set your lines.
Let the lake do the rest.

Fishdle is a fishing game that runs in your browser, on desktop and on your phone. You rig your lines, you set them where your reading of the water pays, and the lake does its thing. When you come back, there are fish in the keepnet.

The beta is closed. Accounts are opened from the Discord server.

Collection

Every fish you bring ashore becomes a card

Instead of selling everything, you keep the fish: it joins your collection at the tier you landed it at. Every placed card earns a small standing bonus, and the upper tiers have to be earned.

  • Four tiers — common, uncommon, rare, trophy. The higher the tier, the more the artwork changes.
  • Morphs you can't chase — an albino or a xanthic shows up when the water decides. Some anglers wait months.
  • A collection that plays — every placed card adds its bonus, and completing a set pays more.

Progression

The rig decides the fight

A rod with backbone, a line at the right diameter, a hook at the right size: every piece counts, and the weakest one gives out first. You run up to three lines at once, and each technique levels on its own.

  • Three lines in the water, worked with one pair of hands.
  • Gear that wears — a bad rig snaps at the worst time. A good one doesn't.
  • Tournament prizes with rolled prefixes, stronger than anything the shop will ever sell.

Techniques

Float, bottom, lure: three techniques to learn

Each technique levels on its own and wants its own gear, its own baits, its own water. You're not good at all three on day one — and the fish can tell.

Float

Bait, patience, and a float that dips. Where everyone starts.

Bottom

Lead resting on the bed. That is where the big ones sleep.

Lures

Work a lure back hex by hex. Hands-on, nervy, predators only.

Playing together

One lake, people on it

The bank is never quite empty. People talk, people fish next to you, you can join a club, and records stay alive because someone always comes looking.

  • Clubs with their roster, their applications and bonuses to raise together.
  • Regular tournaments — paid entry, tiered prize pool, and prize gear you will not find anywhere else.
  • Records per species and per water.
  • A living chat on five channels: your zone, world, trade, help, and private messages.

One lake · everyone on it

Idle

Your lines keep fishing while you're gone

The server keeps your lines in the water while you're away, for up to eight hours, and waits with a full keepnet. Day breaks, weather turns, and fish don't bite at the same hours.

  • A recap when you're back — what bit, what broke, and the XP coming in.
  • A world that turns without you — weather and time of day change how fish behave: some species bite best at night, others in the rain.

Community roadmap

You decide what comes next

No publisher dictates what lands in Fishdle. The game moves in rounds, and every round is settled the same way: three proposals, one vote, one thing built. Then it starts over.

  1. 1

    Three proposals

Exactly three go up, each small enough to actually ship. Three, because a list of twenty is not a choice.

    ABC
  2. 2

    One angler, one vote

The vote runs in the open on the Discord. Anyone with an account has a voice, and the tally moves where you can see it.

    ABC
  3. 3

    The winner ships

It goes to the front of the queue, and the patch notes credit whoever asked for it.

    C shipped
  4. 4

    The next round

The two that lost stay on the table and a new one joins them. Nothing you voted for disappears.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Every species, every card and every record is reachable without spending anything.

How many cards are there to collect?

Every species has a slot for each of the 4 tiers, plus one for its albino and one for its xanthic. The album grows with every new water, and the morphs keep you waiting a very long time.

So what does the premium subscription buy?

Time, not fish. A subscription and a small shop are planned: a bit more XP and gold, a longer idle window, quality of life. Pay-to-fast — nothing sold will catch a fish you could not have caught yourself.

And the shop?

Nothing is for sale today. The business model isn't settled yet: players are debating it on the Discord, and the call gets made with them. The one rule that won't move: nothing sold will ever catch a fish for you.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It's a web page, on desktop and on phone, and your progress lives on the server.

How do I log in?

With your Discord or Google account — no password to invent or lose. While the beta is closed, joining the Discord server is also how you get your invite.

Does it play itself?

Only the waiting. Your lines hold for up to eight hours without you, and fights resolve on their own. But the rig, the spot and every call are yours: a fish that bites in the right place on the right rig is a fish you went looking for.

Can I lose things?

Line, hooks and rods wear down, and a bad fight breaks the weakest part of your rig. You lose the fish and the tackle, never the account.

What languages?

English and French today, more later. The game picks up your browser's language on its own.
