Terms of use

Fishdle is a browser fishing game, published by a private individual on a non-professional basis and offered free of charge. These terms govern its use. By creating an account or playing, you accept them.

1. Legal notice

Publisher. Fishdle is published by a natural person acting on a non-professional basis. Under article 6-III-2 of French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 (LCEN), the publisher has chosen to remain anonymous to the public; their identity and contact details have been provided to the host, who holds them at the disposal of the judicial authority.

Host. OVH SAS, a simplified joint-stock company with capital of €10,174,560, Lille Métropole trade register 424 761 419, registered office at 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France — ovhcloud.com. Servers and database are located in the European Union.

2. Your account

The way in is a Discord or Google login: there is no password to create and Fishdle handles none. One provider account maps to exactly one angler, and a single e-mail address cannot serve two doors at once — the second sign-in is refused, since account linking does not exist yet.

• You must meet your login provider's minimum age (13, higher in some countries).
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Don't lend it, don't share it.
• Accounts may not be sold, traded or transferred, for money or otherwise.
• While the beta is closed, access may additionally require membership of the official Discord server.

3. Rules of play

The following are prohibited:

• Any automation — bots, scripts, macros, modified clients, calling the API from outside the game, or anything else that plays for you.
• Exploiting a bug or flaw for advantage. If you find one, report it: that gets rewarded rather than punished.
• Harassment, hateful, discriminatory or unlawful speech, and sexual content — in chat as well as in angler and guild names.
• Spam, advertising and solicitation.
• Trading gold, gear, cards or accounts for real money.

4. In-game currency and items

Gold, gear, catches, cards and every other in-game resource are game elements with no real-world value. They are not convertible into money, are not your property, and give you no right to a refund or compensation. They remain service data, held by the publisher.

Player-to-player trading, once it opens, is at your own risk: the publisher does not arbitrate disputes between players and does not reverse an accepted transaction.

5. Beta: the service moves

Fishdle is under active development. In practice, that means:

• balance, prices, statistics and rewards change without notice;
• progress resets remain possible while the beta is closed;
• the service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability or freedom from bugs, and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued.

6. Enforcement

Where the rules above are broken, the publisher may warn, mute, suspend or delete an account. Automated detection exists (notably against automation), but no sanction is issued without human review: detection flags, it does not ban. You can contest a sanction at the contact address above and you will get a reasoned answer.

7. Subscription and shop

The game is, and stays, fully playable for free. A paid subscription and a small shop are planned: they will sell convenience and speed (extra experience and gold, a longer offline window), never a species, a piece of gear or a leaderboard place that is otherwise out of reach. These offers are not live yet; when they open they will come with separate terms of sale covering price, duration, renewal and the right of withdrawal.

8. Intellectual property

The game, its code, text, artwork and models are protected. Third-party material and its licences are listed on the credits page. You may not extract, reuse or make derivative works from them without permission, beyond what those licences allow.

Content you post (chat messages, angler name, guild name and description) stays yours; you simply grant the publisher the right to display, store and moderate it as part of running the service.

9. Liability

The service is free and provided as is. The publisher does not guarantee continuous availability, freedom from error, or permanent retention of progress, and cannot be held liable for data loss, interruptions or indirect damage. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law, in particular for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Ending your account

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time by e-mail. Deletion is permanent and loses your progress, with no compensation. The publisher may also close long-dormant accounts, or shut the service down — in that case with notice announced on the official Discord.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. Any substantial change will be announced on the official Discord server and the date above updated. Continuing to play after a change means accepting it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first through the contact address; failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
